It’s been a full month since the SAP Emarsys Spring ’22 Release came online. We’ve now officially put this behind us and are looking forward to our Summer Release.
True to form, we’ve already begun to release a number of smaller improvements. You can always keep track of these on our Product Updates page.
But for those of you who base the core of your digital marketing activities around automations (and that should be most of you), I have a little treat for you – a sneak peek at what is coming in the next 3-4 months, direct from the Automations Team.

The main theme here is: consolidation.
We developed first the Automation Center and then Interactions based on the evolving use cases and performance requirements of our customers. Over time, this led to a degree of divergence between the two solutions and we are now working on bringing them closer together in terms of functionality and user experience.
Highlights will include:
- More robust contact management when programs go into Failsafe mode
- Reactivation of finished programs
- Easier deletion of programs and interactions, regardless of their status
The Help article also contains a helpful table showing what happens to contacts in each program and interaction status.
I’d also like to draw your attention to our Continuous Influence Session.
This is where SAP Emarsys users can suggest new features, and vote for features suggested by other users. And this isn’t an empty promise – we put our customers at the center of everything we do and when a feature gets enough votes from users, we are committed to developing it.
So please visit the session and make your voice count!
(Note that this is open to SAP Emarsys users with an SAP user ID starting ‘S-‘. Emarsys users who have been with us for a longer time should still sign up for our Product Pioneers program. This will be merged with the Continuous Influence Session in time, but not for a while yet.)

And finally, we have just kicked off the second Performance Series of marketing webinars.
These are fireside chats between experience Emarsys colleagues which dive into some of the most pressing challenges – and opportunities – facing today’s marketers.
Our first episode – Setting the Stage for Omnichannel Marketing – took place yesterday and we will be making the recording available on demand as soon as we can.
