Influence SAP Alert Notification service for SAP BTP through our SAP Customer Engagement Initiative (Cycle 1-2022)

Hi guys! In case you already have knowledge and/ or practical experience using SAP Alert Notification service for SAP BTP and would like to interact with our product team and influence our new features development, please join our SAP Customer Engagement Initiative (CEI). This initiative enables you as an SAP customer or partner to get early insights into our products plans to help us define and shape the future of the SAP Alert Notification service for SAP BTP.

What features we would like to discuss and align with you?

As you know the SAP Alert Notification service for SAP BTP offers a single access point to subscribe to critical alerts from SAP Business Technology Platform services and apps, being delivered via your channel of choice (such as into your incident management tool ). In order to do so, the service offers a rich catalogue of available events (built-in and also extension events) that can be consumed with an ease.

The built-in events are out-of-the-box events that are available once you subscribe to the SAP Alert Notification service. In 2022, we plan to extend our catalogue of build-in events. Taking into consideration that our team drives the development and the evolution of the SAP Alert Notification service entirely on customer feedback, we would like to hear from you what events you are interested in. Therefore, before investing time and development efforts in this initiative, we will collect your real use cases and our service will continue being shaped as per the customers’ needs.

Before starting the development and further implementation of new SAP Alert Notification service for SAP BTP build-in events, we would like to engage with your Development and DevOps teams in order to:

  • Validate the concept and the short-listed events
  • Gather further requirements on customers’ use cases
  • Identify any pain points using our service (even if not related to the existing catalogue events) and solve them as early as possible

How much effort from my side I need to plan?

We expect an average effort in the range of 4h each month throughout 2022 but of course, that’s something that could be aligned in addition.

How do I register on the Customer Influence website?

A short overview about how to find and register for a CEI project can be found on influence.sap.com. Please consider that the projects will be open for customer registration until March 11, 2022.

Follow-up after registration: When you register for a project, you will be invited to an introductory call with the SAP project lead. At this point further participation is optional. Typically, all activities are governed by the Feedback Agreement with SAP.
