I hope you enjoyed this year’s SAP TechEd event.
It’s not fully over, there are actually a couple of sessions that you can replay, check out the SAP Teched 2021 session catalog (I guess you need to be registered).
If you have missed the Get Hands-On Experience with SAP Integration Suite hands-on session (DEV163), no worries, you can actually run the exercises at your own pace. We will keep the system up and running until end of this year.
In the exercises, we cover some of the latest features which have been shipped with SAP Integration Suite such as low code API development, re-usable artifacts, flow step recommendations, JSON mapping, API proxy versions, etc.
You find more details and the whole exercise script at the SAP Samples Github repository at https://github.com/SAP-samples/teched2021-DEV163.
The exercise script should be self-explanatory. Start with the Getting Started chapter where you can create an own user using our tenant booker app.
The exercise is then divided into 3 parts:
- Creating re-usable integration artifacts such as a JSON mapping and a script collection
- Create and model a REST API
- Create two API proxy versions based on the beforehand created REST API
Some of the scripts refer to short videos showing you the configuration steps. If you follow the instructions, and taking into consideration our notes pointing to some glitches, nothing should go wrong.
