The Service Catalog is now enhanced with a new feature: service-specific roadmaps. This feature allows you to check SAP’s plans around services: from providing new features, business APIs, price models, use cases (missions) and tutorials, to supporting new regions or to deprecating existing services and features. More than 40 services already have their roadmaps integrated, and we are working on more.
You may already know the SAP Road Map Explorer. It was released to customers in May 2020 to help them to search and customize road maps according to their needs, and to navigate the complexities of planning a digital future.
The Service Catalog now integrates the service-roadmap into the service detail page. That means you can explore not only the service’s current features but also the future innovations underway. The innovations include features, but also planned data centers or integration with other services / solutions.
In the Service Catalog we show the current and the next three quarters of innovations. Blue boxes are delivered functionalities, and orange ones are planned innovations. To get more details, the boxes can be expanded with a simple click. If this is not enough or the service should also be included into a personalized roadmap the link to the SAP Road Map Explorer with the context of the currently viewed service is provided by clicking “…view complete roadmap”.
